Brooklyn-native Mothica’s Mythic EP was a synth-led pop hook feast and now it’s got the remix treatment it deserves. Two emerging producers aka Native & Lost have reworked the song ‘Intro/ Hand Grenade’, layering new glitchy sounds, looping Mothica’s irresistible voice and building on its uniqueness with a special Swedish house twist on the New York singer’s own production work. By extending the song and expanding the percussion, the whole track grows richer, especially when the guitar hook overlaps with the jumpy handclaps. The harmonies drift in and out with their dreamy melody. Here’s hoping Native & Lost can give this treatment to all future pop hits. -DW
